N's & V's
N's & V's was an all original hard rock band hailing from Dorchester & Quincy. The style of originals was influenced by bands like Pretenders/Aerosmith/Rolling Stones/The Who among others. Members: Mary Dyer - Lead Vocals, Dan Dyer - Bass/Vocals, "Benny" Delorey - Guitar/Vocals, Ron MacGillivray - Guitar/Vocals, Mike "Flash" Flaherty - Drums. N's & V's played several memorable shows at the Channel from 1990-1992 including opening up for Blue Oyster Cult, The Fools, The Stompers, Foghat and many other local acts. N'S & V's disbanded in 1992 and most members still play in various projects. The last show played by N's & V's was at The Channel, absent the singer, Mary, who had quit, so the band played anyway under the name of "Flowers & Beads" and the 30 minute set comprised of the entire rendition of "Innagaddavida" by Iron Butterfly. After N's & V's disbanded, drummer Mike and guitarist Ron formed original punk rock band, "Bottom". Click on the image gallery link to the right to see N's & V's images.
